process

I started off with a handful of initial concepts. Some were typographical, others were not. And I had to get the funny one (below) out of my system. The general idea was to create something that suggested an organization that had been around for a long time and which deal with real art.

refinement

The logo using part of the old Baroque Choral Guild angel logo got the best reception so the next step was to really fine tune it and get something that was readable at different sizes as well as one that would photocopy well.

At this stage I also started working on different taglines to go with the logo as well as accompanying mastheads that would show how the logo behaves with text on business cards and letterheads.

The last step was to design the corresponding envelopes and determine whether we would have one consistent design for the whole organization or three different, but related, designs that would pertain to each branch of the organization.
