Sierra Buttes Lookout

Probably the last hike we take each year (if we choose to even attempt it). This is very tough and rather long and steep. It is 4.5 miles and 2000 feet in elevation from Packer to the Lookout, but the view is worth it. Actually, there are many views along the way, and they’re all worth it.

At the top, there is a set of stairs to reach the Lookout proper. Anyone with a fear of heights should be careful during this part of the ascent.
